Having pummelled some bread into submission I pulled out a recipe I saw on The Vegan Cookbook’s page called syrup sticks.
Then I realised that all the baking trays were used up with bread rolls rising so the biscuits had to be baked in roasting trays which wasn’t best but to be honest it probably saved a lot of mess in the oven! One batch were quite thick and perhaps not cooked enough – still quite gooey, the other batch had more room and baked a little longer and turned out slightly crispy. Both are so sweet you can feel the enamel whisking off your teeth as you eat them 😀
Might try something similar with oatmeal later
